I have Dreamweaver, like Ken uses, but I much prefer Crimson. What's more, it's free!
It has syntax color coding for a couple dozen languages (php of course), multiple tabs, macros, global replace, 'saved' LED's on each tab, a scrolling status window for global opeartions, and even observes external editing while internal editing is in progress.
Whenver I make money with code again, I'll drop the author $50.
I forgot what the author's site looks like, but i guess that s/he also offers a pro version which administrates file locks and check-outs in multiple programmer environments.
I might add, it's a heck of a lot easier to read this code if you download a version with white space preserved, and open it with a color syntax editor.
